Dear Bride and Groom,
Congratulations on your engagement and impending marriage. I just wanted to take a moment to talk with you about the idea of premarital counseling as you and your fiancé embark on your newest and most important journey together. Premarital counseling can be an essential part of the engagement period. As two Christians move their relationship toward marriage, guidance in the Word is needed to keep both of you steady in your walk with Jesus Christ. It can be quite helpful to be counseled by someone in your church family that is trained and well versed in the Word in order to assist the two of you in being the best spouse. You are both entering a covenant with one another and God, and I would like to help you learn how to honor it. Please contact the church office at your earliest convenience so that church staff can schedule your first session with a counselor or pastor from our partnered Counseling Ministry. This is a significant step toward the rest of your life and I am very pleased to be afforded the opportunity to help.
Yours in Christ,
“For this cause, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.” - Genesis 2:24
“Let all things be done properly and in an orderly manner.” - 1 Corinthians 14:40
